Since 2007, the George & Enid Brooks Foundation has proudly awarded numerous $1000 scholarships to Paterson, NJ high school seniors. These scholarships recognize students who demonstrate active involvement in their churches, engage in community service, and aspire to serve their communities post-college. How To Apply For A Scholarship
Scholarship applications are open to high school seniors living in or attending high school or church in Paterson, NJ. Interested high school seniors should contact the George & Enid Brooks Foundation to confirm scholarship availability.

Nia Williams, 2023
Nia Williams born in February of 2005 in Paterson, NJ is a proud graduate of Rosa L. Parks School of Fine and Performing Arts. Nia has always been a proud member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she serves in multiple ministries never forgetting to give her all in everything she does. Whether it be her teachers, guidance counselor, or Pastor, Nia has received numerous accolades regarding her work ethic, her love for people, for giving to others as well as providing a listening ear to those who need. Nia has been found to carry qualities of a born leader whether it is through mentoring, serving others while never letting go of her morals and her faith. After graduating, High School Nia will attend Hampton University.

Nia Reaves, 2022
Nia Reaves is a 2022 graduate of Passaic County Technical Institute, where she majored in Criminal Justice. She has attended the Paterson New Testament Church of God all her life. In addition to being actively involved in helping to lead Girls Ministries at her church, Nia has spent a lot of her time volunteering with children in the community at the Boys & Girls Club, serving as a swimming instructor there. She also volunteered for many hours at a local animal shelter. Nia has a very strong sense of social justice and was deeply involved in following the George Floyd case and the Black Lives Matter movement. She plans to do what she can to bring justice to those in the minority and low-income communities who do not have a voice, and to advocate for them through majoring in Criminal Justice when she attends college at Hampton University.
